Basketball/Park

As we all know I am the girlfriend of a basketball coach. Will is an assistant varsity basketball coach for Austin High. He began this journey last year and every since has been 100% dedicated and loyal. Austin High's logo is "Loyal Forever" and Will has definitely followed through with it. Not only is he committed, I am as well. I've always had a thing for basketball. I was never able to play it (wasn't ever good), but I have always loved shooting around. When I was younger one of my Christmas presents was a basketball goal. BEST GIFT EVER! I would spend HOURS just shooting baskets. So, of course when I met Will it was a major turn on to me that he was involved with sports, especially basketball. For the past two years I have been to every game that I was able to make. School kind of got in the way last year, but this year I've been to every game. The varsity team at Austin High is an unbelievable group of talented young men. I love going to watch them play. Not only are they a great team, coached by amazing coaches, but they know how to play and how to put on a show. I'm proud to say that I am the girlfriend (hopefully soon to be wife) of their assistant coach and always look forward to watching them play while supporting them through their journey as well as coach Potthoff's. With that being said here a few photos to show my support.

Mascot: Runnin' Maroon

Not their mascot, but a cute girl version!

On the other hand, we took Maddie and Carlton to a near by school and let them run around and play. We currently live in an apartment right now, so they don't get much running time. On nice days, like today, I like taking them out so they can run wild! I think they love it too. Here are a few pictures from today.

Baby girl resting as well!

My little circus performer! Look at those ears! GO MADDIE!

Fat boy!!

Look at those lips!!!

Sweet baby boy!

After our day at the park Maddie and Carl were exhausted, to say the least!

Last thing I swear! I finally found out where I am going to be student teaching and what grade! I will be at Union Hill Elementary student teaching in a 3rd grade class. Last semester, during my internship I was in a 4th grade classroom. I am used to being with little kids (3-5 years old) so the older ones were definitely a change. Needless to say, it was very fun. I learned a lot from the older ones and enjoyed every minute of it. I wanted to continue this experience with the older ones, even though my heart belongs to little kiddos, so I asked to be placed with either 3rd or 5th grade. I can't wait to begin this journey and be in the classroom just as much as their teacher. 2014 is going to bring many changes and new adventures and I can't wait! With that being said here is a sweet little quote I found on Pinterest.

Cheers to student teaching!
